In general, Trump doesn't seem to have normal friendly personal relationships - the kind where you go over to each other's houses for dinner. And he doesn't seem to have normal friendly business relationships, since he's mostly adversarial. I'm guessing that all of his life, he's mostly been surrounded by yes-men. The only thing he may have is occasional golf-buddies. When a reporter asked him to name a close friend, the reporter tracked down the person that Trump named, and the person was quite startled to be considered a close friend.

The point is, this is what's causing Trump the problems like the "s&%t-hole" story. In the days of Kennedy or Reagan, the staff was either more restrained, loyal or disciplined. That comment would never have been made public. Even Richard Nixon had a phalanx of people around him so that most of his vulgarisms and bigotry didn't leak out.

Trump, unfortunately, is finding that his chickens have come home to roost. He has no one really except his family - and I'm not so sure that if Mueller pits them against each other, that even the family members may not turn on each other.

Unlike yourself , trump doesnt approval seek.

He is doing the will of the voters who empowered him to keep America from turning into a socialist s..t hole.

Thank you Mr president.

If he was just a nicer guy, said nice things (ego stroked) about liars, thought in lock step with the Dems, was an arbitrary D instead of an R... then, everyone would love him. He'd be the best president ever!

I'm glad nobody (important) likes him! That only proves he was right all along!

Obama was loved, admired, a rock star! He was a horribly feckless president.

THAT wasn't a problem for him, it was a problem of the left who feign outrage over every little thing he says. Sorry, there are many countries that ARE sh#tholes and the fact the truth makes people go bananas only discredits their ability to be rational.

What did the outraged MSM do?
They said sh*thole on national television 5k times and made fools of themselves.

BTW, that press core theater yesterday, their display of utter nonsense... THAT will drive their numbers down even further.

I know it's FOX, but 70% of people watching cable news watch them. You can bag on it all you want, it still drives public sentiment.

MSM can't seem to stop stepping on sh#t bombs every chance they get!

Nothing Google and Twitter can do to hide the public from what they witnessed yesterday.

He's not a teenage girl, he doesn't need the approval of the hive before he does something. He does seek counsel from his advisors especially the ones with a different opinion than his own...if they make a good enough argument, he changes his view. The results so far have been beyond amazing for this country.

All he does is seek approval, from his base. He's a thin skinned man child that can't handle criticism or any type of disapproval.

Trump engenders no loyalty from those close to him. His Administration is like sieve because so many around him have such low regard for Trump.

This is a good thing. Given Trump's autocratic tendencies if he wasn't so inept or disdained, he would be doing far more damage to our constitutional republic than he has done to date.

Anyone who has a few extra grand in their wallets this year and still votes against that... are idiots! They prefer $40 gifts and $10T debts. HRC would have had us in a war by now, so I guess they miss those as well.

If the shoe fits, I'm sorry for you that it does.

I've noticed that when they have convinced themselves they will sweep into power they turn up the idiocy volume. Has anyone noticed this as well?

They seem unable to contain themselves, only to be let down over and over. Yet they keep doing the same thing over and over.

They may have a good November, but damn... since 2010 they've done this every 2 years and have been wrong the last 4 times!!! They haven't stopped whining for over a year.

If the DIMMs have a good November it might be just so they'll shut the hell up! Though I've yet to find anything that actually works for that problem.

WE all got earfuls of grief when Obama was elected, even though it took several million conservatives to get him elected. Boy how we were all duped.

Oh please!

That is why your so called saint of a POTUS is all butt hurt because UK won't give him a state visit and allowed to meet the Queen and RF. His Orangeness is so upset he won't even go to London to preside over the opening of new US embassy.

The official reason given thus far out of the WH is DT fears the protests and so forth. Well if the man does not "seek approval" then why would he mind that there are protests.

As a native New Yorker have know of or about DT far longer than many of you seem to have put him on your radar. And you are *WRONG*, the man's whole life is about approval, stroking and some sort of deep seated desire to be "loved". From the mess that is his personal life history (married, divorced, married, divorced, married... all with a string of mistresses littered about), to his famous "you're fired" all speak to a man that cares very deeply what others say or think of him.
