I have been there and know what it's like to be jobless and work is just not available , that or work that is available is not capable of supporting renting a place and all the other responsibilities that go with it .

And for the record I have never received unemployment though I could have.
I know homeless here that refuse the shelters due to the environment that harbors them . they'd rather face the elements or find other alternatives.
Until you spend some time walking in their shoes, I suggest taking a closer look, and not from a second hand point of view.
Yet liberals want to increase immigration. jimmyp posted a great thread on here about California patriots speaking out about illegal immigration. Listen to this homeless lady blast these liberal jerkoffs

California seems to be in tatters due the sanctuary city etc

I think the number of homeless has something to do with illegals finding refuge there.

Does California tolerated it like you say, I think to a degree.

But what can be done being it got to this point?
These are humans, real people.
Mixed in with the homeless are Vets with PTSD, mentally ill, people fleeing from abusive situations.
America isn’t all that great on taking care of our vets, mentally ill, the abused, and our children.

We sweep it under the rug and pretend it doesn’t exist in whole as a nation.

It's hardly in tatters. However, while California has the 6th largest economy in the world, it's a very expensive place to live and has the highest poverty rate in the nation.

And what is the legal option to "tolerating" them? Every state that has tried to run them out of town has been sanctioned by the courts, you can't arrest them unless they break the law and no one wants to pay for permanent housing for them. Look up homeless in Saratoga or Las Vegas before you start talking smack about California.

Yes. Once again, the weather is a draw.

What does that even mean? The only way someone deserves shelter is if they have the means to pay for it.

If "being a good person" and "working hard" merited someone shelter, there's a lot of middle income folks that deserve it more than the slacker making minimum wage at age 60.
