This Schumer shutdown will hurt the Democrats in the end and all the Democrats gained is that Americans are now less favorable towards DACA recipients.
Now DACA has been discussed in all kinds of ways the Democrats dislike to hear about and DACA kids/adults will be more mad than before as they already showed Pelosi in the past!

DACA means DACA, nothing more, nothing less. Its people who were brought here as kids.
That is indeed what the word DACA means ...... BUT - it is not what the argument is about.
There are 3 documented positions at this point that we know about.
1). President Trump's Outline of what he would like to see in the DACA issue.
2). Rep. Bob Goodlatte introduced H.R. 4760, the Securing America's Future Act, last week that includes all of Pres. Trump's immigration priorities, including an end Chain Migration and the Visa Lottery and an amnesty with work permits to current DACA holders.
3). The Gang of 6 proposal.
You can compare them if you like. It's NOT about "poor dreamer children" - it's about Chain Migration primarily and Political Power Plays.

I agree with BB on few things but you better believe this has hurt Schumer. The "principled" left isn't all that big but the (D)'s can't win without them and they no longer care if winning means losing, they would rather lose on principle.
