Their perceived reality, that is - trouble is, that perception is extremely skewed and bears little relationship to reality. It's based on hopes, fears, resentment, self-victimization, gullibility and misplaced trust in the belief that Trump can effect the changes they desperately want and hope for, that he can somehow improve their lives, bring about an end to what they feel they have suffered unjustly, and raise them to what they see as his own level of "success": gold-plated wealth, beautiful women at his command, sophistication, successful and attractive adult children (in the Trumpites' view), extravagant homes, fame and fortune and what they take to be great business intelligence and success...
Sadly, of course almost none of this is real.
Hans Christian Andersen got it right, long years ago: "The Emperor has no clothes!" Yet Andersen's Emperor marched on, bowing to his cheering subjects - until that clear-eyed little boy stated what he saw, and the crowd's cheers turned to jeers.
Yet the naked Emperor marched on...and on, and on.
Why do I suspect that Flood is going to oh so unfortunately determine that he's conflicted out from accepting this role after all?
I imagine there is one or two VERY important clients of that prestigious law firm Flood works for who really pressed for him to take Trump's case...
Maybe Carl Icahn might be one of them
Or Robert Mercer...
Not that Flood has reputation for being unethical or a slithy tove...
But he does work for one of the biggest law firms in Washington--
And you can't be a big frog in a mud puddle w/o getting some mud on yourself...
You can tell none of us were watching Fox--
That show will go down in infamy with the Lester Holt interview as perfect examples of people too in love with their own image of themselves to know they have just committed suicide
When I was watching, it was all about planned parenthood then on to some rant about religion.
Oh--didn't consider that aspect
Just thought Trump was broke...
But if Avenatti is correct--
That definitely shows consciousness of guilt and desire to evade the law---
Ergo "conspiracy" to commit a violation of campaign finance law...
a great appearance usually doesn't end with "Does not expect to be fired".
Kind of like "Lethal Weapon 2", when when bad guy Pieter Vorstedt has to explain to his boss Arjen Rudd that he let Leo Getz get away and the police have him in protective custody.
Vorstedt is looking around to see if he is standing on plastic drop sheets.
Arjen "Aryan" Rudd (Trump) : What are you doing?
Pieter Vorstedt (Giuliani): I was just checking to see if I was standing on plastic.
(knowing the last guy who failed the boss was standing on sheets of plastic right before he was shot and wrapped in the plastic that was set down before he got there, so there would be no mess).
