actually neither side has claimed that trump paid for the sex. if he had then trump and cohen would be guilty of obstruction charges. it's illegal to pay-off a witness to a crime even if that witness is one of the participants in that crime.

according to daniels trump teased her with the potential of being a contestant on "celebrity apprentice" ( which i actually think would have been a smart business move on trump's part ).
Her only claim is that they banged back in 06' when she was still smoking hot and he was a private citizen.
O M G. Some still think it is just about him having had sex (with someone "smoking hot", when he was not yet president).
The point is, he wanted to pay her off so that she would not divulge that information, having a Non-disclosure agreement - being paid for out of Campaign Finance Funds, which he was not supposed to do. She later came out with it and was approached by someone apparently hired to threaten her and her family over, Rump and his buddies being thugs.

Except Trump is an unindicted co-conspirator in Cohen case for Election law violations. Those payments were illegal and Cohen pleaded guilty.

there is currently no supporting evidence to daniels' claim that she was threatened. i'm curious if there was anything in michael cohen's seized documents that could support the claim. that may be the reason that avenatti is continuing to push for depositions against cohen and trump.
The only supporting evidence is that one other person in a completely separate matter was threatened and Cohen has engaged in threatening verbal behavior. Both victims know it wasn't Cohen. The other person believes it was Trump's bodyguard. Stormy was threatened, as I recall, in Los Vegas, the other victim threatened in NYC. Likely two different actors under the direction and employ of one person.
