of course this is not difficult for Democrats as the media doesn't discuss anything else than mental, weight, etc. issues of the President instead of discussing why the memo to be disclosed is voted down by Democrats without any explanation from any of the Democrats why they are against the public to know what is in the memo's.
Unfortunately this shut down to be aired for a few days will cost the Democrats more votes and less understanding from the people who need their pay check and not much sympathy from anyone else than illegal aliens!
Next week and the weeks thereafter will be full with talks about the cover up and collusion by Democrats so no escape to try to have this shut down cover up their secret.

Yeah it seems silly to me it just hasn't been released. Trump can declassify anything...why not this.
I suspect that it may never be released but always referred to mysteriously -- creates more drama that way and can't really be refuted because it is never clear EXACTLY what is being said.
Trump can not unilaterally declassify this without the HIC who compiled it first voting to declassify it. Once they vote to declassify it, which they will, trump has a mandatory 5 days to sign off on it, which he will. It's going public at some point within the next couple weeks.

His/her statement is completely accurate. The CR was filibustered by the Democrats. The Democrats are demanding AMNESTY for close to 4 million illegal immigrants, a non-spending measure, to be included in the spending bill. This is reckless politics none of these "Kids", some of whom are close to 40 years old, are ever going to be deported they may lose their paperwork but they would just go back to the status they had 4 years ago. As long as they haven't committed a crime they wont be deported. Barack Obama set up this catastrophy with his illegal memo to give them paperwork, it was always going to be shut down by the courts. The executive branch doesnt get to create immigration law unilaterally, it must originate in the house by our representatives.
I know some folks don't like polls unless they absolutely positively support their view and will skew the interpretation of numbers to try and spin to their view BUT FYI
all polls show that the majority of people in the USA do blame Trump......it is what it is.

The OP says the government was shut down so a NON EXISTENT memo would not be released. That's insane.
As to the memo, if Nunez wanted it out, it would be out.
Perhaps Republicans are leery of having all the "factual inaccuracies" pounced on.
Probably works better to rile the Republican base to keep it under wraps.
It has to be declassified first. That requires a vote in Congress, then transferring it tio the White House for the POTUS to sign off on. There's a process. Get it now?

The dems are politically tone deaf to think they can shutdown the government over illegals.

1) If this is such a "bombshell", why hasn't Nunes released it? It's his damn memo.
2) What are Republicans doing working hand in glove with a Russian disinformation campaign?
- Who better to write a memo/summary than Devin Nunes? Last I checked he was overseeing the investigation and had read all the classified data.
- "Forced to acknowledge"? Most have not read a million+ pages. That's the point of the memo. It's a summary of a million+ pages of classified information. If it's determined that it's important enough to dig into, then all the supporting documentation will be declassified.
- What evidence? There's no credible evidence that Russian bots surged this hashtag. There's certainly no credible evidence they did it in conjunction with the GOP. This is pure kookery.
- 1) There's a thing called the law. Nunes can not simply release anything he wishes. Duh! They must vote on it in congress and if it's approved, then it must be examined for national security threats and redacted, then the POTUS has to approve the release.
- 2) Let's see the proof.
