Apparently Republicans are running ads blaming Democrats for suspending CHIP coverage via the shutdown.

Should taxpayers who can't afford health insurance be paying for Other People's Insurance with their tax dollars?

If they have tax dollars then they can afford it. If you are advocating for them to brake the law that's a democrat position on many things. Not a new concept.

RW folks seem to prefer a dystopian world where children with ear infections go without antibiotics and those with cancer, encephalitis, meningitis, ... are left to die.

Should we have proper Christian burials or just let the dogs tear them apart?

Good grief. Our children are our treasure, our future.

Unless, of course you would prefer a future of snarling, hateful, old codgers, marching with tiki torches.

And yet it was the LW folks who voted against CHIP.

Both sides are using certain issues as pawns instead of having clean bills and actually doing a budget for once instead of all these CRs.

A childless adult working full-time at minimum wage pays $468 in 2017 FIT plus over $1,000 in payroll taxes.

In what state can that individual afford health insurance?

Should taxpayers who can't afford health insurance be subsidizing Other Adults' Insurance with their tax dollars?

Should Childfree taxpayers who pay for their own ACA coverage be subsidizing Other Adults Insurance with their tax dollars AND with their expensive premiums? They’re getting shafted worse than Mr. Childless Minimum Wage Worker. Unfairness abounds. Most just accept it and go about bettering their lives by working hard and acquiring new skills. Perhaps a 2018 resolution is in order?

The childless taxpayer with their own ACA coverage is presumed by Congress to be able to afford it, as they were subject to the individual mandate under Obamacare.

Minimum wage earners were never subject to the individual mandate as they were presumed to not be able to afford to purchase their own coverage.

Big difference.
