Trump is smart to listen to people like miller, cotton, meadows etc, The Democrats are going to pay a price at the polls for supporting illegals .

Your claim about Graham being "one of the most unpopular senators in his own state", doesn't carry much weight, since there's only two of them. If he was unpopular there, how has he kept on getting re-elected for so long?

To favor those like the ghoulish Miller and right-wing extremist Cotton, shows a lack of concern for our country. To let just a few snakes-in-the-grass like them, sabotage the functioning of our government, would be a travesty. Two people like Trump and Miller, should never be allowed to conspire together.

A general poll isn't that useful for better predicting the outcome of the midterm elections.

A national poll is good for a popularity contest, much like Hillary's campaign.

Miller is cancerous, so I wouldn't mind him being shown the door during these negotiations.

On a side note: this thread made my head hurt. I then began reading imagining it was a room full of people in a dimly lit tavern with mugs of beer in their hands. Wow what a difference!

Points to ponder.

This is a republic not a democracy.

How the heck does Hillary figure into the conversation?

Who cares how popular Lindsey Graham is?

What part of illegal do people not understand?

We are a country of laws not (heart) feelings.

Why do we need to play political jenga with people who don't agree with your individual political ideals?

<end rant>

Time to boot Ms. Lindsay from the negotiations and elevate Sen. Cotton.

I like Graham. I was tired of him for a while, but I see him as a moderate voice.
I have not heard why he voted "No" to the budget deal. I would like to see an explanation.

Miller will not appeal to anyone who is not already on board. He would make a good press secretary since they are paid to present The President's view, and he does well when asked to debate a Democrat, but other than that he is not helpful in the same way that Nancy and Chuck are not helpful.

Serious question, what's moderate about Graham's amnesty for DACA, little to no border wall funding and keeping chain migration and visa lottery? Graham is adopting the same positions here as the far left.

Sen. Graham reminds me of Mr. Haney dishonestly trying to sell snake oil to Mr. Douglas (Trump). He even looks and sounds a lot like Mr. Haney.

If Trump caves and approves of DACA without border security or an end to chain migration, he is finished because his base will abandon him. He has no reason to make such a deal without those provisions as his 2020 election is already pretty much assured.
