War is hell!
I think it would be more selective targeting of key people, not a war. To the point no one would want to run for any office, or hold any important government job, for fear of being taken out.

Might want to lay off the pork rinds and Bud Light for a year- ya know- to get in 'fighting shape'..
Reading and viewing various aspects of todays media it seems obvious that Americans have been conditioned to hate each other politically ,its downright vicious at times,gets me to wondering how this hate for neighbor over his political opinion will resolve itself,is civil war inevitable with the end result a physically fractured/divided nation?
If Only President Lincoln had known how much ignorance the Confederates would push into the future and how they would move their war from the battle field of bullets and cannon balls and bring it inside the United State Congress, and then invoke that Ignorance in the Presidency, He would have wiped them out... back then... and we'd not have these issues today.
It's sad that he thought these Confederate and Antebellum Ideologist had a modicum of sense of honor, when fact is, everything about the civil war should have indicated, that one cannot have civility among what has devoted itself to being savages.
We need what ever it is that Germany used to get rid of the NAZI's, is what needs to happen in America to get rid of the Confederate Ideologist with their Antebellum Mentality.
We've seen nations cleanse themselves... and a Great MultiEthnic Society Like America, has to find a way to rid itself of the Archaic Antebellum Ideologist who have been treasonous against the Constitution for more than 150 yrs, chasing some delusion of white superiority madness. The vile of the Evangelicals are a big problem in America because they push RACE HATE within the Believe Systems of peoples Religious Ideology.
They are so far removed from the principles of Gods Teaching, until they promote a level of madness that tunes itself with racial bigotry, bias and delusions of being more than other human beings. They are an abomination to everything that God's Principles Stand For in the World that God Created, They have been twisting the Bible Words since before the days of slavery and all through the system of slavery, segregation and into the societies of today, to try and make it justify their Savagery.
God brings Reckoning to All things that require Reckoning for the advancement of Gods humanity for mankind's salvation.
Confederate Antebellum Ideologist Madness has no place in American Society, nor in America's Future.

Civil wars have a tendency to draw out and raise up the most brutal and psychopathic elements of the population. The various militias and armed continents need continual funding for weapons and equipment and most often engage in vices to do so. Kidnap, drugs, slavery, etc.
If all other recent civil wars are an indicator then the local little people would suffer most.
LBJ had to drag then into the 20th Century, and they kicked and screamed and whined and cried and pitched a betch acting like savages all the way, and they are still doing it.
But he was a gruff but gentle guy, who knew of their vile and he dealt with it, and moved American Forward with the Civil Rights Legislation, Voting Rights Legislation and developed Medicare, Medicaid and Head Start, and would have done more, except for the bigoted segment that gave him false and misleading information to promote the war games of the Military Industrialist and their vile and greed.
He was a man who hurt deeply to move human decency forward and suffered many challenges of ignorance against him, but his heart and soul was bigger and stronger than those who fought and opposed him, because he understood the God Given Decency and the need for Man to push for humanities betterment. He knew as did Kennedy, that would be a long battle because of the entrenched vile and ignorance of racism. But he stood tall..... and got has part done. Now, it's time for us to move things forward again.
It took hundreds of years to develop the "advanced" civilizations of the Aztecs, Greece, and Rome. They were all destroyed seemingly overnight.
It always takes much more time, effort, intelligence, and ingenuity to build, rather than to destroy.
Our system if government is supposed to be based upon democracy, which means that we're given the civil opportunity to observe and respect the equality of the opinion of others via the cast vote.
We must always opt for the democratic rule of law over any form of tyranny, elitist oligarchy, or totalitarianism.
If your problem is with immigration, we have an elected congress and a senate to address that issue. Even they must base their decisions upon the rule of law as guided by the constitution.
However, we must bear in mind that most of us are descendants of immigrants. Therefore, empathy and compassion should be preferred over aggression and hostility, whatever is ultimately decided.
If your problem is a specific American group of citizen's race or ethnicity, then you must consider their possible historical point of entry into this country and their historical treatment (of course, some people have always been here and preceded our own entry). America has not always treated all ethnic groups fairly. It therefore, must compensate for past injustices by crafting better solutions for the problems itself has created.
No matter how frustrated or intolerant you tend to be, just remember that our country and its laws have been crafted by many intelligent and patroitic Americans who wanted the best way of life for all of our citizens.
The majority vote should always trump any act of barbaric violence. That's what makes democracy a salient feature of an advanced civilization and not a primitive society.
We should all love our country and its DEMOCRACY!
