Those terrible anti-science Republicans. Nothing like the Democrats with their attacks on the science behind technological advancements such as fracking and GMOs.

Good gawd, get thee to a library. They have books. For learning.

PS. Don't ever base your argument on the <1% outlier example. It nullifies your argument and makes you look uninformed. F+ for effort.

One of the enormous risks of this trend is that it makes us less safe. The DOD depends on that R&D to ensure that they have the most modern weapons technology in the world. This is where we need to be spending our tax dollars, on cutting edge research under ARPA/DARPA, not on some ridiculous border wall.

According to most conservatives, all we need as a society is a bronze-age book of mythology. Science is a vast conspiracy to undermine that book so therefore it should not be trusted. Sadly, that is where we are at in this country right now.

If you read the link, the primary reason for our downfall lies with the sorry state of our postmodern universities to churn out productive individuals into the workforce:

The U.S. fell to 11th place from ninth mainly because of an eight-spot slump in the post-secondary, or tertiary, education-efficiency category, which includes the share of new science and engineering graduates in the labor force. Value-added manufacturing also declined. Improvement in the productivity score couldn’t make up for the lost ground.

We have people teaching these kids that math is oppressive!

We have people teaching these kids their contributions are worthless without intersectionality.

Unless we purge our universities of the SJWs, things will only get worse.

LOL! Seriously?
That would be due to Obama, not President Trump.

Who's "anti-science?" Nobody is "ant-science!" What a stupid claim.

This is very true. It's also "anti-science" to believe there are more than two genders, which the silly Leftists now claim.

Sorry to hear about your abilities. Try to pay more attention in class next time and you'll become an inovator yourself.
