I think every time a former president, former cabinet secretary or former congressman pays some head of state a courtesy visit, people on the opposing side of that person are going to be shouting "Logan Act! Logan Act!"

I wonder if the Logan Act even applies here? The Logan Act forbids citizens from negotiating with a "foreign government". It would seem like the U.S. would have to recognize Palestinian statehood first before claiming somebody was negotiating with its government.

That, of course, was the point of my contribution herein.
Anyway, it is all moot, since no one, since 1799, has been charged with violation of the Act.
This obnoxious horseface is worse than herpes. Not that I would know.
I was tired of listening to him blather on about his war record (in reality he got his Purple Hearts for minor flesh wounds, including one that required only a Band-Aid.....WTF) and how smart he was and how dumb Bush was.
He shut up about that when it was revealed that Bush had a higher GPA at Yale than Kerry did.

Good luck with that should it ever go to court. The concept of the spirit of the law would come into play and it would apply, for the Logan Act, in no other place better than in Palestine.
Flynn and Sessions got a hard time for this. Time for payback.
