More good news

https://www.cnbc.com/2018/01/25/home...ax-reform.html

From the story:

Home Depot joins a growing list of corporations using new tax benefits to invest in their workers.

I am a libertarian but thanks GOP for doing the right thing despite all the attacks from the left before it passed.

And after taxes that's closer to maybe $300.00 not a big deal. Give them a decent pay wage and then they can celebrate.

Apparently, you have need need for the additional monies. Good for you. However, many families will welcome this additional income.

And yet, reed is not wrong. If Home Depot really cared about their employees they would compensate them in a way that would really make a difference in their lives, with a pay increase, not a small, one time bonus that will make little impact on their financial health in the long run.

This is a PR stunt. Nothing more.

The strong economy will raise the wages.

$1,000 down to $300 because of taxes? 70%?

Your numbers do not jive but you do make a point that taxes need to go even lower.

In your attempt to be funny, you must have missed the "Hourly Employee" part.

It's doubtful that they are paying more than 15% taxes (if that). So my best estimate would be that most of these Home Depot workers will "take home" $850-$900 (on a $1000 bonus).

Only a supporter of a President who took the National Debt from 9 Trillion to 19 Trillion (in 8 years) would be clueless enough to believe ....... that if someone makes an extra $1000 in his paycheck.....that $700 would go to taxes ??

Heck....even the highest Bracket (for guys making a million dollars a year) is 35%.

That's liberal math.

Great! You should vote for Republicans so that we can cut income tax to 0%.

Why didn't Democrats even support the tax cut to begin with?
