Think that's bad? Come to California. The encouragement of illegal immigration is one of the primary reasons why I'm thinking of getting out of here, along with what the state has done to the housing market. I can't support this anymore.
"Free" at the expense of taxpayers! What is wrong with these people?
These "DACA kids" are not deserving of anything "free" from American taxpayers! What makes anyone think they are? Worse, they protest and demand that our Representatives in Congress, who represent American citizens, not foreigners, meet their demands! We don't elect representatives to work for foreigner's interests ...we elect them to work for us!
This just shows that these people are not deserving of any favors. Where are the parents that brought them here? If they weren't brought here by their parents, they must have sneaked in on their own.
Nothing changes the fact that they are illegals. They have no Constitutional rights. Constitutional rights are bestowed upon foreigners when they are granted citizenship, not before. Anything else is an "open border" policy, and not acceptable. This is why "sanctuary cities" must not be tolerated. They are a violation of our Constitution.
Of course, on the other hand, I don't know of any Republican plan to help the homeless.
And no, cutting food stamps doesn't help them.
California may have one of the biggest homeless problems in America. What's Jerry Brown (a Democrat) doing about it? He's raising taxes and fees that will make living in California even more expensive and drive more jobs out of the state, making housing even less affordable, and creating even more homeless.
It isn't the Federal government's job to deal with the problem of "homelessness." That is a state issue. it must be addressed at the state level.
The "Welfare to Work" program that was introduced by Republicans under Speaker Gingrich's leadership did help them.
And welfare rolls have declined under President Trump because of more jobs being available. That's a fact liberals don't want to acknowledge. They want people dependent on government ...for votes!

And then they can declare Armageddon and children will starve if they don't get their way.
Also, CA dropped from the highest education state to almost the bottom in just the last few decades it flooded the state with illegals.
In 86 they decided to do a "de-segregation" by busing program where all the kids in poorer areas near the border were bused to wealthier area schools here in San Diego. You can imagine what happened to the collective scores of these schools getting filled up with ESL kids, some of which actually lived in Mexico. Fast forward 20 years and combine this event with Federal programs like no child left behind and you have a perfect storm with unlimited illegal immigration here.
So, they close the schools in the poor areas, bus them into wealthy neighborhoods and guess what, the rich send their kids to private schools. You are forced to play the game unless you really don't care about your kids education.
In summary, all it accomplished was moving the problem around. No way in hell I'd send my own kids to the schools down the street surrounded by buses coming in from San Ysidro. At least they stopped picking up Mexican kids at the border. Kids that lived in TJ and are dual citizenship because their illegal parents folded during the recession and went home.
