Now, Trump has never before been invited to Davos before. That, of course, is a perfect indication that he was generally regarded as an incompetent businessman, not a success, not a major player, certainly not in the forefront of anything.

Macron apparently called to coax Trump to come. I'm wondering - do you think Macron is secretly hoping that Trump will embarrass himself on a very public stage?

Melania wisely refused to accompany him. That was a smart move. The people there would no doubt make her even more conscious of her ignorance.

President Trump, being President of the United States, is the most successful person in the world and, as the representative of the US, will do what he is supposed to do.

Melania speaks a number of languages and would have been a help to Trump.

Now that is simply silly.

So, who is your source either inside the administration or in Macron's camp? You must have one, since you not only know what was said in the phone call but also know Melania's reason for not going. For that matter, you even know the opinions of business leaders. You must be well connected.

A generally incompetent business man OR someone that is worth 4 billion dollars, reshaped skylines worldwide, Graduated from wharton, owns 500 companies, dominated television, became President of the United States; most successful person to ever exist?

A man who stepped out of the comfortable and organized lifestyle that he was leading, and ran for the presidency despite the disdain of all Democrats, most Republicans and most of the media. A man who took no vote for granted and who worked his ass off day and night for well over a year, campaigning across the country non-stop. A man who successfully lived through the meat grinder of unrelenting scrutiny. A man who clearly understood the mood of the country, who had a consistent message that resonated and who spoke the same language as tens of millions of Americans. A man who beat the odds and beat out the expectations of almost EVERYONE across the country and across the world who was following American politics. What he did was nothing short of extraordinary.

I'm sorry, but that's just silly.

Being president doesn't miraculously make you the most successful person in the world. Apart from that kind of ethnocentric arrogance, surely you must be aware that some people have become president more or less by accident. I would hope you're also old enough to be aware that some president don't do what they're supposed to do and, in fact, act very badly.

A lot of liberals buy Trump stuff daily and don't know it, because he has over 500 business endeavors besides properties and only one endeavor has the name Trump.
