In addition to the 50 million profile thing, Facebook as well as Google and Amazon etc are now facing a new "fair tax" proposal.
Say internet user in France receives an advertisement from car manufacturer in Japan. Car manufacturer pays fees to Internet firm with bricks and mortar HQ in USA.
Currently France gets nothing.
New proposal is France would get 3% of advertisement revenue.
This will cost the big internet firms billions in new taxes.
