But, it is troublesome that someone that's lived in this country since 1992 is not comfortable with basic conversational English to conduct everyday business.
If I moved to a foreign country that didn't speak English, it's on me if I don't learn the new language, and no one's going to bend over backwards to accommodate me.

I think the clerk was acting unprofessional, but I don't believe he wanted to kick her out because she spoke only Spanish.

She was disruptive. Language had nothing to do with it. Her attitude did.
Not only is yammering loudly in a foreign language become basically a protected class now being disruptive and rude while yammering in a foreign language has effectively become a protected class.
