A classical liberal would be a libertarian. That is not Dersh at all. He is not Ben Shapiro.
Dershowitz is a liberal democrat who unlike most out there is not screaming from the hilltops that Trump is horrible and needs to be impeached. And he pointed out correctly how Trump cannot be guilty of obstruction.
He tells the truth, calmly and intellectually. For that the left bashes him and the right thinks he is an ally.
In the case of his comments on Farrakhan. He has no tolerance on Anti-Antisemitism. I respect that. Too many liberal jews today give a pass to anti semitic comments made by muslims or african americans.
Farrakhan is no different than David Duke. At least Trump has not posed with David Duke in a photo op.
Farrakhan said this:
“Israelis had foreknowledge of the attacks” and that Jews were warned ahead of time not to come to work that day. He then went on to speak more broadly of Israeli control of the American government, stating that Israel and Jews “don’t fear America because they control it from within.”
David Duke said this:
“There are Israeli fingerprints all over the whole 9/11 aspect…Israel has a long record of terrorism against America…there are a lot of reasons that Israel wanted 9/11 to happen.” In addition to blaming Israel for perpetrating the attacks, Duke also claimed Jews and/or Israel are responsible for a number of American policies and world events."
