Both are true. Obama's presidency caused a racist backlash. Trump's caused the legitimacy of racism.

I remember very well when Trump supporters said the unemployment rate was a lie and the REAL unemployment rate was at least 20%. It's amazing how suddenly they believe the unemployment rate simply because Trump is in office.
