I do not agree or understand why President Trump is sanctioning truly mean policies for legal immigrants.

What would it take for him to "wake up"? What if his wife was sent back and his son made to go with her? Or she forced to go back to Slovenia without her child. Very cruel. Please write and ask that PresidentTrump make immigration policies that are fair.

This man was in the US for 39 years and has a wife and kids!

We are so focused on the non important things-I am trying to be more active in working toward useful things. If we spend 2 hours a day surfing the net why not make some of that active and useful, rather than abusive or inane?

If that's the way you feel why not contribute to this poor soul's defense fund?

Put another way, if you were caught in Palestine illegally they would just chop your head off.

Send him back to suffer the consequences. He's lucky he got as much time here as he did.

Your reply is thoughtless.

Facing a deport order since 2009.

Nine years doesn't sound like the definition of ripped away.

I have sympathy for the guy, but I also have some issues with this whole story.

He's been in the US for 39 years.
For someone married to a US citizen, it takes 3 years from getting your green card to apply for citizenship.
Did he apply for citizenship at any time during his marriage?
If he did, was he denied?
If he was denied, why?

Those questions being answered would go a long way toward deciding whether or not this is unjust.
