Career politicians fall all over themselves to get media attention, and airtime to further their name recognition to get them re-elected, or elected to a higher office. Everything they do is for that reason.
As long as Kennedy doesn't do a Shemp Howard and spins around on the floor going "Bee bee bee bee! " they'll be fine.

I remember 2 in Obama's 2013 SOTU: a traditional Republican response from Sen. Marco Rubio and a TEA Party response from Sen. Rand Paul. These were the ones that were shown on the major outlets, perhaps there was more. I don't recall. That said, I do think that having this many "responses" is not good at all.

What can they possibly have a rebuttal for? Lowering taxes? Highest Black employment ever recorded? Kicked the crap out of ISIS? Reduced the red tape to construct our infrastructure? They are going to have a rebuttal for that?
The Dems are fractured and leaderless. The money is on Kennedy appeal.

The Dems are like the trunk of an old car found abandoned. It may contain old clothes, rotting food, and possibly a missing relative. Not all that unlikely when offerig up a Kennedy.
