The memo is a dud and is much too vague to prove anything. The president sounds like an a side show hawker transparently attempting to push a biased agenda to stop Mueller. This entire fiasco of a memo is a blatant swipe at democracy and the tactics of Trump, Nunes & Co. are looking like something a third world strongman would use.
"...But the memo also doesn't say several things. It doesn't accuse anyone at the Department of Justice or the FBI of violating the law. It doesn't claim that the entire dossier is falseājust that the FISA warrant application to surveil Carter Page relied on portions of it. And most importantly, the memo doesn't say whether law enforcement corroborated the Steele dossier claims that appeared in that warrant..."
The memo was such a dud that the media and the left has been full-on hysterical in advance of its release, and Democrat lawmakers such as Nancy Pelosi have declared this action has created a constitutional crisis.
The horse is out of the barn, the cat is out of the bag, and the gennie is out of the bottle. You are too late with the "nothing to see here, please move along" tactic. Try something else.
... Part of the information in the Steele dossier had info on Carter Page. That info was corroborated and found to be true. That dossier information was ONE PIECE of many that was used to obtain a FISA warrant. That warrant was obtained on Carter Page and not Donald Trump. And the warrant was obtained after Carter Page left the Trump team. Since that is the timeline, Trump would not be included in any surveillence related to Page. Could have been a different story if Page was still on the team.
The federal judge (judges) was told that part of the evidence to wiretap came from a source who was paid by a "political entity" to gather such information but the information, upon further checking, was found to be true.
...
Though Carter Page was announced as one of a select group of Trump's advisors, I've also seen announcements that he was barely there.
So hard to make out what his exact involvement with the Trump campaign was.
His involvement with Russians is the pertinent question.
No, Nunes contends that the LEADERSHIP of the FBI and DOJ have those issues. Let's at least be clear and honest about who/what you're talking about.
Nobody has issues with the FBI rank and file.
The leadership that Trump appointed? Like Rosenstein?
Two big lies being perpetuated about The Memo by the left from the top down... It's a dud, and the sky is falling.
We have congressmen and congresswomen whom are well qualified to decide for themselves that the release of the memo was not a release of "Intelligence", but a release of information... So let's not get our panties in a wad.
For example, some of these congressmen are themselves former "Intelligence" agents, aka CIA officers, etc.
There was nothing in this memo that will affect national security.
Your Media Lies To You!
In fact, there's NOTHING in this memo that hasn't already been leaked to the press.
This is why some of it's opponents ( you know? The crooks like James Comey) are sitting back and screaming, This information is a dud!
Well no it's not, Thankyouverymuch. It gives the world specific evidence of what we've suspected all along.
This Release is about Congressmen exercising its informing function to shed light on the process and provide transparency.
This is one of the many things that separates this country from many other Schiffhole countries out there.
God Bless America...
Our laws are different from the laws in other Countries. Even if our laws worked perfectly for US, it doesn't necessarily mean 'everyone in the world should do it this way'.
& if our laws are not working well, or have natural &/or unintended consequences that are not working for US, we have the ability to amend them. Here's a starting point for considering some of the laws relevant to theses issues:
These people who are listening to Alex Jones or other such sites believe only this:
The FISA warrant was issued solely on the dossier. The judge was bamboozled and not told that the dossier was funded by opposition research, and that somehow President Trump was "wiretapped."
That's eat. There's not critical thinking beyond that, even with the memo in their hands.
Nunes didn't read the FISA warrant to write his memo. Why should anyone else read his memo before "knowing" how it came to be and what's in it?
Nunes contends that the FBI and the justice system lacks integrity and are politically biased.
Who believes that?
What it demonstrates is a logical progression in the investigation. I agree that there is no official information (facts) in the memo. There are people in our oversight committee that feel the facts are there to back up the memo's information. So why don't people want to wait to see the facts?
Every time we asked to see the facts on the Russian collusion investigation we were told that investigations take time. So now why is it difficult to wait when there is a chance that there was political motivation behind this whole mess? This all has to be sorted out and before the next Presidential election. Hopefully it will be sorted out before the mid-terms. If the memo is found to be true; it is no way to run our government!

Sorry - I've read the memo, and it is hideously inept. I would be ashamed to have someone as amateurish as Nunes connected with my thought processes.
It's not what he says, it's what he leaves out. Perhaps if he had actualy read the FISA warrant instead of trying to crib his info from Trey <snicker> Gowdy he would have done a better job.

But you are screaming at people to WAKE UP and you have have no real input on this discussion except to call everyone crazy. Either contribute to the discussion with rational discussion and facts and quit shouting your conspiracy rhetoric. You're being annoying.
I'm sorry if the truth annoys you, or anyone else here. Yes the TRUTH is the soviet Russia infiltrated our gov, edu, and media throughout the 20th century. Their efforts were quite successful, but OOPS, the soviets FAILED in Russia in the 1990's, as we all know.
You have look at the big picture over time. What we are witnessing here now is the long overdue aftershock of the failure of communism in Russia finally catching up to the damage they did here, as progressive politics are being rejected by WE the People, finally thank God!
I posted links to Yuri Bezmenov who so clearly laid out the problems that communist infiltration were causing here way back in 1983, which is all too clear today. Look for yourself...https://www.crossroad.to/Quotes/brai...7/bezmenov.htm
The fact of the matter is that leftists in our country today are the remaining remnants of the communists' efforts from the past, and the last administration was thick with that sickness, so much so that they thought it was a good idea to politicize our FBI, DOJ, IRS, on and on...but they, like their predecessors in past communist Russia, FAILED.
It is time to acknowledge these truths, and get back to making America American again.

The constitutional crisis is less about the context of the memo and more about the unusual circumstances the Republicans are trying to use to create a case for this investigation.
I suspect you know that.
If this is EVERYTHING some of you think it is -- then there would be no discussion. The other stuff is all noise.
