Just more political charades.

Gosar should look in the mirror for a traitor if he thinks four pages written by some congressman's staffer proves anything here.
Nunes' memo was meant to stir up Trump's witless base.

Seems to be working.

.
Sessions and Wray are Trump appointments, Sessions can simply appoint a special prosecutor if he sees a need but certainly not based in this memo. The FBI has investigated itself in the past, that is what the IG is doing right now. If the house has proof they can simply hand it over to DOJ.

Special prosecutors are normally appointed for conflicts of interest and presidents exceeding their power to block investigations but there are some other examples. Besides, the GOP probably wont like the answer they get from any prosecutor they appoint.

I will wait for the democratic memo but right now the claims in this memo don't make sense and certainly do not make the case for an independent prosecutor

Right.. which is why his Trump branded hotels charge more for 'semi-official' visits to D.C.

Please.

This is a good explanation from the conservative perspective:

And I could give two sheets what those dorks think. They've been carrying pitchforks and torches for a decade, and nothing to show for it but useless innuendos and baseless lies.

The justice system will have a FIELD day with Trumps merry band of misfits. Nunes just proved how utterly thin these arguments are.

I don't suffer fools lightly. Let them wallow in their pith.

Congressional investigation and hearings is how this is handled.

If there was so much as a shred of evidence behind all these wild ass accusation, Trey Gowdy would be on it like a duck on a June bug.

During the last phase of the election. Weird timing.
They waited to seek a Warrant 3 weeks before the election to impact an election, that makes no sense. Besides they approved additional warrants up through October 2017, if they wanted to steer the election they were really late on that

You don't know if other warrants were issues between 2013 and October 2016 but we know Page had a history.

Back to the Memo... Some fun facts...

Steele told DOJ official he was "desperate that Trump not get elected."
McCabe testified no FISA application would have been "sought" without dossier
FISA applications were sought by Comey, McCabe; signed off by Yates, Boente, Rosenstein

In the court of public opinion, Trump is vindicated of any Russia Collusion, but as has been said, tip of the iceburg.

As far as Trump, he always seems to need to be unhappy about something - I imagine he's unhappy that the memo hasn't been successful in marginalizing the investigation, it only strengthens the case that his allies are desperate to shut it down.
The memo is not evidence, it is a summarization of evidence collected by the House intel committee on FISA abuse.

The Republicans do not need to litigate this issue in public with the democrats, they only need to make people aware of what happened. The actual evidence collected will be used to justify the appointment of a special counsel.
