Think about this. Everything in the Nunes memo came from classified documents. I've yet to hear of a single thing from the memo that remotely implicates national security.

Some things don['t require a Ph.D. in Classification and National Security. You're willing to accept without question that a "CLASSIFIED' stamp is automatically for the right reason. I'm not. In fact, I'll bet that many of those seemingly mundane docs you read are mundane, embarrassing to someone, cover-up mistakes and failures, or have other bad reasons to classify them.
I'm sure there are many instances where classification is not necessary but seemed to be at the time. Maybe this is one of them. Maybe it's not. But I don't pretend to be absolutely certain TODAY that the release of this info does not have an effect on something. I think it's honestly too early to tell. I don't think you can say with certainty that it has no effect on security. Just as I cannot say that it does.

agreed.

my favorite of the week has been nunes' claim that popadoupolus never met trump. when shown the photographic proof, nunes' lawyer claimed just because popadoupolis was sitting on his national security advisory team with trump doesn't mean that trump knew who he was.
It's a fantasy that the judge knew. Could you recall thousands of people you met in passing?

Don't play coy. Where did you "hear" that the Democratic memo is "an absolute dud"? I want to see a link.

I see 12 people in the picture of Trump's national security team. Could you recall a dozen people that made up your important national security team?

maybe it's the same as the way trump inflates his crowd attendance sizes.

Precisely. The Other Question of the Day is how the FISA application process works.

In many legal proceedings there are opportunities for judges to question applicants, asking for more details which are then made part of the legal record.

If the details about the disclosed political bias WERE needed by the Judge and he/she obtained them, what are the chances that Nunes would have disclosed THAT in his memo.

Like ... no chance. That man really is a joke.

There IS political posturing on both sides of the aisle. It's just that Nunes always makes such a mess of his.

If I didn't know who they were, they wouldn't be sitting at the table, that's for damn sure.
