Where is this big raise I'm supposed to get? (attorney, cost, dollars)

True but Obamacare has caused everyones rates to go up not just those purchased on the exchange. I'm self employed and mine skyrocketed as soon as this TAX went into effect. So theoretically it is caused by O-care!
No it isn't. Health insurance rates have been going up for 40 years. It used to be blamed on attorneys, so there was a big GOP push for tort reform (which is hilarious with the Plaintiff-in-Chief in the WH). Now you blame it on Obama.
I predict health insurance premiums will continue to rise as sure as the sun does.
These people reporting that their pay checks went down must be confused. Just this afternoon I heard the Donald say that his tax plan was really, really great for the middle class. "There will be another $1,000, $2,000 $3,000 or $1,000" in folks paychecks.
Obama never vilified Americans for doing well or for getting raises. No one scolded you for being successful. But if you are defending President Trump's remarks that all Americans were going to get to keep a lot more of their money because of the tax cut, then when that doesn't happen it is your problem. If you say that President Trump was mistaken, or misspoke, or that he lied, then your "fellow Americans aren't" your problem. But if you are taking a position on Trump's promises, then the experiences of other Americans that contradict that position are a problem for your position.
My only commentary about Trump is that he seems to hate successful a lot less than Obama did. Other than that, I don't much care about what Trump promises, whether any of it comes true or not, or anything of the sort.
I make $325 more per month right now. That's a good thing, and I am pleased with it. You replied that my fellow Americans didn't do as well, and I replied to that by saying "and?" in so many words. Is it a big raise? Well, besides last year ad the last time I switched jobs, it's better than any raise I've had in the last ten years, so I'll take it...and I won't feel bad about it either.
If a lot of other people don't see an increase in take home from this, that is not my problem. I didn't write the tax reform bill. If I had, we'd have a national retail sales tax and nothing else, and everyone would indeed have gotten a much larger increase in their take home. But I will take what I can get, even if crumbs. Just one more crumb I keep that they don't is a win for me.

Donald wouldn't lie, would he?
He didn't lie....it is probably even more then that....on average. I mean he's going to make millions more!
Kinda like how when Bill Gates enters the room, on average we're all multi millionaires.

Until we have universal health care.
Yes,health insurance has been going up but in moderation not these double and triple digit increase we've seen since O-care took effect. Trust me I've been paying my own for 33 years and in 2016 here in AZ we had a 110% increase! Prior to O-care I saw slight increase (3-6%) and some years nothing.

Your situation was very unique then. Prior to Obamacare the average increases were much higher then after it took affect.
Of course with trump killing Obamacare (his words) by dropping the mandate, its looking like we will go back to those large increases.
I think you have to think about your pay period. When that period ended. If you don't see an increase this Friday, then wait 2 more weeks for your next check. (or those who get paid weekly, wait until next Friday.)

Ted, I think he meant yearly. If you get a $200-400 increase per month, then that is what he was referring to, $1,000-2,000 more in your pocket per year.
