True. It's no different than Hilary Clinton not leaving Bill, I suppose. Hilary had her reasons for making the choices she did too.

That said, the Trumps definitely have a different relationship in public than previous presidents (Republicans and Democrats) did with their wives in public.

Of course, when we're talking about married couples, there are always three sides of the story: his, hers, and the truth.

that was according to melania's spokesperson, the same person that claimed melania skipped davos because of "scheduling and logistics issues". melania did not attend any event that would have conflicted with davos.

Administrations have hosted guests for years and years and years -- this was not new.

And this was the first time The First Lady did not ride with her husband to the event.

Maybe she’s following her husbands lead who didn’t stand either.

Being a dutiful wife.

For those that said that about Pelosi, and black senators and whatnot, how do you differentiate their behavior from Melania's? (No accusation implied in my question, I am asking if the same standard applies, or if it's different.)
Uh.................They are elected politicians. Melania is not.

Damn. It's much, much worse than I thought. Seriously, I thought everybody knew that!
I'm so thankful I'm not a democrat. I'd hate to be one of "those".

I didn't watch the SOTU. I can not make myself sit there and listen to the manure that spews from DJT's mouth. I can't stand him at all. I find no redeeming qualities about the man AT ALL.

So, after watching the short clip, I'm happy I went up to my room the night of the SOTU and read a good book. Paul Ryan pointing at the sky and looking upward? GAG. The pandering has reached epic levels. I don't know why Melania didn't stand up but I wouldn't have either. Not that I'd accept an invitation to any event DJT is speaking at. NO THANKS.

Sort of feel sorry for her for the humiliation end of it... But..Cmon. The man is in the Wilt Chamberlain League of womanizers. He is incapable of fidelity. Its not really news he had affairs.

What the Trumps have arraigned between them has nothing to do with how the Dems represented, or lack of it their constituents and their willingness to work as a team.

A lot of people sit when they clap, its not uncommon.
Melania was clapping and sitting, like many others.
