Our government lies to us. Both sides.
Didn't Snowden's revelations about what our government does mean anything to you ?
Clapper lied to Congress and nothing happened. Instead Snowden got labeled as a traitor.
And FISA continues to get renewed with no debate and signed into law.

The bits and pieces of news that escapes about the secret doings of our government shows that both parties are corrupt to the core and will do anything to stay in power and prevent Americans from finding out.

And Trump, being hated by both parties and not being part of the good ole boys club in DC, is the catalyst.
You'll get no argument from me there, but I am dealing with one crisis at a time (in my mind) as these things come out. Today's news is that Devin Nunes behaved as a partisan idiot. I do not fool myself into thinking dems are superior.

It seems to me that Mueller should be investigating something other than "The Russians got Trump elected".

***NEWS ALERT*** ***NEWS ALERT*** ***NEWS ALERT***

Fully half of Congress and their followers to visit their Doctors or Chiropractors today to receive treatment for the work related injury specifically severe whiplash, neck pain, migraine and jaw pain.

These injuries were apparently sustained just after the Nunes Memo was released to the public. Evidence shows prior to release these Congress people were dead set and repeatedly claimed that this memo was a severe blow to National Security and would harm the U.S. Intel agencies by revealing methods, sources as well as highly classified information and people.

Directly after the memo was released these same Congress people rapidly whipsawed or spun to "it means nothing, complete nothing burger, there's nothing in it" etc. thereby causing the above mentioned injuries.

Their treatment includes orders to stick to one story and if a change is needed to do so slowly after fully digesting the evidence.
They were also warned to cease running to the nearest camera as muscle strain and/or damaged tendons could occur.

To me the bigger news is that the FISA court may have been used by politicians to try to sway our elections.
And that's a far cry from "Russian influence" and more detrimental to our system of government.

Practically everyone on Trump's team is getting called a "Russian agent".

That's propaganda right there and being used to directly influence Americans.

I don't know, and neither do you. We only have the "he said" half of the story, still waiting for the "she said". The GOP is openly being very dishonest and biased by only allowing their half of the story to come out.

In order to clear up a lot of questions and accusations the next thing that should happen is the release of all of the FISA applications and warrants related to this memo.
Before the shouting starts about "those are secret, they cannot be released, national security" or whatever argument is raised (like it was with the memo) remember that there is precedence with regard to releasing such documents.
Let's get it all out in the public view, let's see EXACTLY what the government has been doing to U.S. Citizens in our name.

Obama quarterbacked it, via Susan Rice. Hillary was the wide receiver, via Cheryl Mills.
Hillary's campaingn was getting full Trump strategy intel from the NSA gathering the entire campaigns communications and distributing it throughout the intel agencies.
Clapper, Brennen, Comey, Holder, Lynch. The only one of the bunch that blew the whistle was Rodgers and he got canned the following day.
From the Nunes memo:
On October 21, 2016, DOJ and FBI sought and received a FISA probable cause order (not under Title VII) authorizing electronic surveillance on Carter Page from the FISC. Page is a U.S. citizen who served as a volunteer advisor to the Trump presidential campaign. Consistent with requirements under FISA, the application had to be first certified by the Director or Deputy Director of the FBI. It then required the approval of the Attorney General, Deputy Attorney General (DAG), or the Senate-confirmed Assistant Attorney General for the National Security Division.

The FBI and DOJ obtained one initial FISA warrant targeting Carter Page and three FISA renewals from the FISC. As required by statute (50 U.S.C. §,1805(d)(l)), a FISA order on an American citizen must be renewed by the FISC every 90 days and each renewal requires a separate finding of probable cause. Then-Director James Comey signed three FISA applications in question on behalf of the FBI, and Deputy Director Andrew McCabe signed one. Then-DAG Sally Yates, then-Acting DAG Dana Boente, and DAG Rod Rosenstein each signed one or more FISA applications on behalf of DOJ.

So first warrant Oct 2016 and 3 renewals. That would be Jan 2017, April 2017, July 2017.

I would point out that Page was removed/let go in Dec 2016. Therefore all the renewals were after the campaign and after Page was working for Trump. Trump appointed officials were involved in the renewals.

Spy on Page, who happened to be working for the Trump campaign until Dec 2016. The renewals came after the campaign and Page was no longer working for Trump.

I haven't heard that at all. All I have heard is that some members of Trump's team met with Russian officials who may or may not have been tied to the Kremlin or FSB.
