Default Humankind

The topic of this thread should not use the term "peoplekind", which just sounds silly, but rather the correct term, HUMANKIND.

Language changes to reflect society's evolving standards and awareness.

Humankind | Define Humankind at Dictionary.com

Mankind is an outdated word (and has been for decades) and yes, it is sexist.

You know what though. As much as you can blame Trudeau, you have to blame the people. The audience instead of booing this authoritarian buffoon, clapped and applaud like a bunch of foolish sheep. A lot of them were female and didn't look like westerners and Canadians but some people should've booed. A lot of people should have.

So you think the OP should have misquoted Trudeau in the thread title??

I am a woman and don't get twisted up by words like mankind or foreman or any other word that has been in existence for eons. Only the perpetually offended create issues where there are none. I can't even imagine spending a daily life with someone like that. Suck it up buttercup.

But you did not say that, you just commented about diversity, nothing about qualifications. You did not say "most qualified cabinet ever". You are a bigot and do not care about qualifications, if you cared about qualifications, you would have mentioned it.

And it is not about being well matched, it is about being best qualified.

And I'm still confused by this post where the poster corrects the OP for using the actual quote in the thread title instead of what he/she feels is the correct term:

"We like to say people kind? ... not necessarily mankind."

I like the wavy hand gesture he makes as he bleats that out. What a man, that Justin Trudeau.
