In the news today, Secretary of State Tillerson is warning that Russia is already meddling in the mid-terms, basically reiterating what CIA director Mike Pompeo said several weeks ago.

"Secretary of State Rex Tillerson is warning that Russia is already beginning to interfere in the 2018 midterm elections and the U.S. is ill-prepared to combat it.

Without elaborating, Tillerson raised the alarm about new Russian meddling in an interview with Fox News on Tuesday in Bogota. In an earlier stop in Mexico, he advised Mexican officials to be on guard for Russian interference in their elections scheduled for July."

Not sure which is worse - that there are many people in this country who don't believe that this happens or that we have no way to combat it.

Clearly we need to be vigilant about our sources of information and keep a very close eye on actual results vs. projections as we head into election season.

I imagine that Tillerson believes that they will again do what is detailed in the report noted here:

please stop with the b.s. and Russian hysteria.....PBS report?

Last summer, stolen emails from Democrats were posted by an online persona known as Guccifer 2.0, believed by U.S. officials to be linked to Russia. Outrage over documents that appeared to show favoritism for Hillary Clinton forced the DNC’s chair, Debbie Wasserman Schultz, to resign.

No evidence that came from Russia. Wikileaks has denied it came from Russia and the DNC refused to turn over their servers to the FBI to investigate.

You are just repeating Democrat propaganda.

So Tillerson is either a liar or a fool and Trump always hires the best people. That is some funny logic.

UGG ... What is the meddling ? Why can't they at least tell us what to watch out for?

If there was a guy running around robbing people and the description was he is tall, brown hair with a beard and always wears a trench coat then we would all be leery of bumping into a guy like that in a back alley..

Tell us the nature of these attacks so we can avoid them. Is Russia buying ads on facebook? Are they spreading fake news and CNN is picking it up and running with it without checking the sources?

I didn't need a bottle of Russian vodka or a subtle ad to tell me that Hillary was a lousy candidate..

The president's current secretary of state does not believe it to be "Democrat propaganda."
He clearly believes the report that was linked to in the PBS article, which, you apparently didn't see or ignored or chose to dismiss...

As a matter of fact, the president himself has accepted that there was Russian meddling in the last election, so I guess he and his administration are all victims of Democrat propaganda, huh?

"While President Donald Trump says he believes Russian President Vladimir Putin is sincere when he denies that Russia sought to interfere in the 2016 U.S. election, the president said he personally believes the conclusion of the U.S. intelligence community -– and not Putin -– that Russia did in fact meddle in the election.
...
Several of the president’s top intelligence leadership testified before Congress earlier this year and said they accept the conclusion of the initial report that Russia sought to influence the U.S. election."

Trump says he agrees with US intelligence community that Russia meddled in election - ABC News

Oh, and that report that is referenced? Linked to in the PBS article I posted earlier.
Just FYI.

Russia will continue to meddle in our election until:

1) the President/GOP acts in the interests of the Republic and confronts Russia on it;

2) Gullible Americans wake up and realize they are being had and vow they won't be fooled again;

3) Social Media starts acting responsibly;

4) Russia wins.

No. 1 will not happen while Trump/GOP are in office.

No. 2 may not happen as many Trumpers are in the tank for Putin.

No. 3 a remote possibility because the bottom line trumps patriotism.

No. 4. Putin has won so far...Trump is in office and sowing chaos.

I have faith though that this Country will throw the gutless GOP out of power soon and set this country straight.
