The Russians know they can get into all state voter registration data bases. And this info was available to the world in the late summer.
All they need to do is change a letter or number on any person's registration. That person will have to prove to the judge they are who they say they are or have to vote with a provisional ballot. Most of the time, provisional ballots go uncounted.
For the life of me I cannot understand why people do not see this as a problem.
Social media knows as much about us as our families do. Finding out our leanings would be easy. Any state that requires people to register by political party is asking for many of their voters to be disqualified due to hacking.
Hacking conserns should not be ignored.
If what you say can be done they would have to target 1 specific party of voters and somehow avoid the publicity of a plethora of people from 1 party having problems.

It's hard to trust any side.
This was known by the Administration, the security folks and the Congress before the election. Obama said he wanted to tell. But was afraid he would be accused of tampering with the election. They had a meeting and McConnell said do not tell. I don't know who to believe either. Obama is gone and McConnell's wife is a cabinet member again.
... and when the next story arrives, it'll be "some votes were changed but it didn't affect the outcome."
We have a serious problem with Russian hacking, but the Trump administration is doing little to counter it, sending a signal for Russia to hack us some more in 2018. Trump wants a wall to keep out Mexicans on the southern border but wants open borders for Russian hackers. Go figure.
