‘Hollywood Is Changing,’ Says Its Veteran Activist, Tim Robbins
By Maureen Dowd

“Think about this: You pursue celebrities your entire life when you’re a real-estate developer, and then you become the most powerful person in the country and no one wants to be photographed with you. This is the time when most celebrities will go to your side, and no one is going to his.”

Robbins is not relevant.

Why anyone pays lip service to professional pretenders is beyond me.

if Hillary's or Bernie's celebrity popularity were a guide to winning a political seat, celebrities' endorsements are a detriment.

Sorry, I'm not sure I follow you.

Surely you don't feel that a job as an actor - a job held by the revered President Ronald Reagan - diminishes someone's credibility?

But you see, the Ronald and the Timmy are two men cut from completely different cloth. Ronald liked to watch John Wayne movies and go camping with young boys. Ronald was a god-fearing man who didn't mind roughing up his females when the time called for it. Why, Tim Robbins is more like soft spoken and scholarly, right? Tim Robbins and Ronald Reagan? Well, that's like comparing Ru Paul and Liberace. The two aint even in the same ball park!

How disingenuous of you. Reagan didn't go from actor to POTUS as you should well know. President of SAG, spokesman for GE, multiple term Governor of California, and then POTUS.

Tim Robbins has no experience in any other position of leadership such as Reagan did.

Every thread you start is based on a faulty premise.

Who's Tim Robbins? Is he Baskin's brother?

No, it gives them a vocal advantage over others. They call in a camera crew and force their way into our lives even though they aren't especially intelligent. Take Rob Reiner for example. A moron.

I doubt even Susan Sarandon cares what her ex thinks. Scraping the bottom of the barrel.
