Talking about truth. I keep forgetting we are in the era of Trumpian Alternative Facts. First off the Tax Cut hasn't been in place for a full quarter. In fact they are not talking about a quarter but a single month. A single month that followed the first quarter result, before the tax cut was passed, that had already produced increased Tax revenue. According to the underlying IBD article the Jan surplus is the same as last year. Bottom line we were getting the gains in tax revenue before the Tax Bill kicks in.
My HR just sent me email stating checks will show tax cuts, as it took this long for IRS to implement.. So, I know tax laws did start January 1.
But it doesn't matter. No politician will get support from the other side, due to bipartisanship..

So some truth.... not that this thread of bloviated nonsense deserves it.
1.The tax cut was brilliant and we are seeing the benefit of it. more than 200 of the largest companies in the country are raising wages and expanding benefits as a direct result of the tax cut. That is generating massive economic expansion.
2. The roll back of Obama era stupid over regulation was also brilliant and has helped to expand the economy at an unprecedented rate. The Atlanta Fed is projecting 4.5% economic growth in the 4th quarter.
3. The Stock market correction is just that a profit taking correction. fundimentals in the market are sound. This correction is by no means a bad thing.
4. This budget that passed last night is full indication that republicans in congress are freaking coward morons.
One month into a tax cut and you already know it’s brilliant, let’s wait until January 2019. The deficit just got worse with this totally unnecessary tax cut, going over $20 trillion.
Doesn’t take much bravery for a tax cut, tax increases are quite another story. No one should believe that we can balance this budget solely with spending cuts anymore.

Democrats shoulder the difficult task of paying for all the stuff the Repubs gave away and the Dems get blamed for the big hangover the country has to go through. In their hearts, most Republicans know this is true. And most Democrats can't articulate why we shouldn't have to keep living like this.

That's funny. Do you really think the Dems are the angels in DC? Politicians lie right to your face and you smile. The Federal government, and State, take your tax dollars and disseminate to their constituents to make them get re elected and feel good about being charitable. Nothing more.
If Trump was allowed to enforce his campaign promise of ridding the country of illegal aliens then we would not have a problem with the budget at all. The overall yearly cost fro taking care of these people is a reported $318 Billion.
Imagine if the taxpayers were not required to take care of all these millions of people that should not even be here?
We could level the national debt in a handful of years but no Trump is a bad man for suggesting it.

It would take decades to deport 11 million illegal immigrants. There are not enough ICE agents, local jails, physical court rooms, judges, support staff to expedite deportation.

why is that? because republican big political donors want cheap illegal labor as much as the democrat big political donors.
I agree with you. e-verify laws would be an easy fix for illegal immigration and the fact that it hasn't been implemented in all republican controlled states shows the hypocrisy of republicans. only six states have e-verify laws....

Nope, and I never said that. I DO think they work, when the chips are down, i.e, when the country is in a recession led by stupid Republican tax cuts and deficit spending, they do the heavy lifting to turn that mess around. They have before (Clinton, Obama) and hopefully they'll be able to push us through the coming clusterfark.
