This is a very difficult case. Again, I find the student/teacher fraternization to be at the very least despicable, but see no reason for a law against it - especially if the law is based solely on one's job title. An organization such as Harvard having a rule against it is one thing. Lose your job if you break the rules that are a term of employment. Going to prison for it? That's a bit much, IMO.

She actually makes a really interesting legal argument.
If she had put her mind toward something more useful than 'how to **** kids,' she might have accomplished great things.

Posters like that, and many others on this forum do not represent mainstream conservative or Republican views. Talk to your conservative neighbors or colleagues in real life, they are nothing like this. We don't want civil war, our differences really aren't that big, it's just sometimes hard to remember that on here.

If you are ready to elect someone to the senate that had multiple affairs with under 18 years olds when they were he wa ib his thirties I find it hard to convict this lady. As reprehensible as that may be. Seems like ALabama needs to do some soul searching.

It's a slippery slope. Once you start saying one person should necessarily be fired and blacklisted or even prosecuted for any kind of consensual romantic activity with some one from their work, then it never ends. I reject all of it.

Well I'm consistent and don't let progressive government politics and the newest pop culture decide it for me. I said I didn't care about what Roy Moore was accused of doing and I don't care about what this teacher was accused and prosecuted for either.

What transpires from work and away from work in people's private lives sometimes should be swept under the rug or kept in the closet like in the sensible days before America became like some communist country.

You are then consistent and I can only respect that,
