This is a very difficult case. Again, I find the student/teacher fraternization to be at the very least despicable, but see no reason for a law against it - especially if the law is based solely on one's job title. An organization such as Harvard having a rule against it is one thing. Lose your job if you break the rules that are a term of employment. Going to prison for it? That's a bit much, IMO.
Well, obviously you're sick in the head if you think that's okay - but based on the article, it's an interesting premise to state that teachers are being singled out when in every other profession it's not questioned since the age of consent is 16.
She actually makes a really interesting legal argument.
If she had put her mind toward something more useful than 'how to **** kids,' she might have accomplished great things.

It's a slippery slope. Once you start saying one person should necessarily be fired and blacklisted or even prosecuted for any kind of consensual romantic activity with some one from their work, then it never ends. I reject all of it.

Well I'm consistent and don't let progressive government politics and the newest pop culture decide it for me. I said I didn't care about what Roy Moore was accused of doing and I don't care about what this teacher was accused and prosecuted for either.
What transpires from work and away from work in people's private lives sometimes should be swept under the rug or kept in the closet like in the sensible days before America became like some communist country.
