Folks...this guy was supposed to be vetted. Trumps folks did that....theres no way this was missed by anyone....unless Trumps "best" people are incompetent.
Just read a WaPo analysis (Aaron Blake, The Fix) that took the opposite take - that it's more an "intervention" from below.
It only took a short time for WH staffers to leak the information. Blake compares it to WH leaks from last summer that Trump had personally gotten involved in the misleading explanation about Junior's Trump Tower meets with Russians.
Not disloyalty on the part of WH staffers ... rather more an effort to prevent clueless higher-ups from creating additional layers of mess.
Where are all the flag loving patriots calling out this retired Marine for telling lies and defending a wife beating scumbag? I think he is doing far more to dishonor our military and our flag than a football player taking a knee to protest police brutality.
White House officials are accusing White House Chief of Staff John Kelly of asking them to lie about when he knew about Rob Porter's abuse allegations.
Two senior White House officials tell the Washington Post that Kelly told members present at a staff meeting Friday to tell reporters that “he took action to remove Porter within 40 minutes of learning that abuse allegations from two ex-wives were credible."
This administration is incapable of recognizing the truth if it jumped up and bit them in the behind. I seriously think that it's a pathology and they have been so deluded that they are literally incapable of maintaining a coherent thought for long enough to recognize that it contradicts a previously held thought.
