Are scientologists liberal? I thought they were akin to right wing freakazoids.

These are bottom-line based decisions. Run an ad saying, 'Please stand' and you run the risk of alienating a lot of black folks. And black folks are great at organizing and boycotting.

Run an ad for Scientology and people scratch their head, Leah Remini gets mad, and it's forgotten by the time the next event is finished.

Why should a network run an ad from a group that wants to attack free speech?

Bit of a stretch. The only thing I can find is that they bought some ad time at WFLA in Tampa to run during the Olympics in that market only. They've bought ad time before in that market as they have a big presence there.

Back up a second, you can't claim free speech for one side of the argument and deny it for the other. That's the height of hypocrisy.

Ad was blocked by NFL not the network.

And that's funny because the American hard-right has become inextricably linked with Russia? I know, I know. I guess it has basically become a joke that right-wing trailer trash are like Russian flag bearers, but this getting a little weird.
