I think it’s very telling when people think they are the judge of what another person deserves to receive.
You’re entitled to your opinion, but I reject the idea that a well off 65 year old, living in a Million dollar home that is paid for, who also has a substantially lucrative pension, is entitled to burden several younger people with paying them money they simply don’t need. It’s totally immoral.

Again, the idea of a safety net, which is what Social Security was originally intended to be, should be reserved for those WHO NEED IT ... not for those who insist they are entitled to it because they paid into it.

Hence, the differentiation should be an insurance policy versus a retirement account.

Social Security should be means tested. Someone who has an income from investments or a job of $75K on up shouldn't be allowed to collect.

If people want to work when they are older they shouldn't be discriminated against and there should be tax incentives to hire older workers.

It shouldn't be means test, because its insurance, or at least that is how it is pitched. Its just stealing unless everyone pays in at the same rates and collects at the same rates.
