The William Lynch speech is an address purportedly delivered by a certain William Lynch (or Willie Lynch) to an audience on the bank of the James River in Virginia in 1712 regarding control of slaves within the colony.[1] It is considered to be a hoax. The letter purports to be a verbatim account of a short speech given by a slave owner, in which he tells other slave masters that he has discovered the "secret" to controlling black slaves by setting them against one another. The document has been in print since at least 1970, but first gained widespread notice in the 1990s, when it appeared on the Internet.[2] Since then, it has often been promoted as an authentic account of slavery during the 18th century, though its inaccuracies and anachronisms have led historians to conclude that it is a hoax.

First of all, Wikipedia is not a credible source. It is funded by Georoge Soros, who is the primary benefactor. It cites as sources other Soros funded sites and organizations. For example, articles on conservatives who are labeled "conspiracy theorists," cite the Southern Poverty Law Center, an extreme left-wing organization whose primary benefactor is Soros. Critics of Islam fall under this category, being labeled as "Islamophobes," etc. The use of the term, "Islamophobe," does not lend credibility to any source that criticizes an individual or group that does legitimate research to expose the beliefs of those who practice the Islamic faith.

That technique goes back to at least the time of Roman slaves, long before Christ. And probably a lot further. I've seen references to such a thing back in ancient China, at the beginning of the Han dynasty.

If this Lynch person even said such a thing, he was just the latest in a VERY long line.
