Trump Quotes
“We will balance the budget without making cuts in Social Security and Medicare.”

“We are going to cut many of the agencies, we will balance our budget, and we will be dynamic again.”

“If we don't take back our money and if we don't, you know, balance up our budget — at least get it damn close and soon — we're not going to have a nation anymore.”

“When you start cutting, you're gonna balance the budget — believe me, you're gonna balance the budget. So we have that.”

“It can be done. . . . It will take place, and it will go relatively quickly . . . . If you have the right people, like, in the agencies and the various people that do the balancing . . . you can cut the numbers by two pennies and three pennies and balance a budget quickly and have a stronger and better country.”

“We can balance the budget very quickly . . . I think over a five-year period. And I don't know, maybe I could even surprise you.”

The truth. Trumps budget doesn’t come close to balancing the budget for the next 10 years, by which time Trump will be long gone.

One more sucker punch from the Don.

Except what you people never want to talk about is ...revenue. Revenue will expand just as it did (doubled) after the Reagan tax cuts, and I suspect even more, because of businesses coming back to the U.S. instead of leaving.

Secondly, Democrats have loaded up the budget with things we don't want (they always do) and President Trump has noted that. These things will be dealt with later (the budget battle isn't over yet), and much will be cut.

President Trump has some new ideas for funding (an some things, like foreign aid will be cut).

He's only been in office for a year, and few of his proposals have even taken effect.

Lastly ...where were you when Obama was tripling the National Debt? Where were your 'howl's' then? <crickets>

Democrats love spending as long as it is they who are doing it. If it is Republicans, they can't shut up!

Where were you when George W. Bush took office on Jan. 20, 2001, the S&P 500 stock market index stood at $1,342.54. The day he left office, it was $805.22, a drop of 40 percent.

Obama's spending literally saved the country from another depression brought on by Bush.

Overall,Obama's debt contribution was $983 billion between 2009 and 2017. Obama's largest contribution to the debt was the Obama tax cuts, which were an extension of the Bush tax cuts. They added $858 billion to the debt in 2011 and 2012.

The national debt is current 20 trillion.

If you think 858 billon is one third of 20 trillion you need to go back to basic math.

Until congressional leaders are voted out of office for overspending, none of them particularly care. They love spending our money.. both parties do.

While both parties spend, it's the Republicans who constantly carry on about being the fiscally responsible ones, how we need to balance the budget, pay down the national debt.

Yet the last Republican president to the leave the nation in better economic shape that he found it was Eisenhower.

It's almost as if they are deliberating trying to BS us.

Talking about Trump lying is like talking about the sun coming up. It happens so often that it isn't news any more.

Now, if he ever tells the truth, THAT would really be something to talk about !

Not sure if you don't have a clue or you are distorting on purpose.

Obama had over 9 trillion in debt added under his watch.

He also benefited from the Bush bailouts getting paid back on his watch.

He didn't make any systemic changes that were needed.

The deficit was set to rise dramatically in future years on Obama's last day in office due to ultra low interest rates that would have to eventually rise and growing spending on entitlements.

Obama's last fiscal year saw 1.42 trillion added to the debt.

I am not optimistic on Trump, but Obama failed the budget and did the same deceptive tactics of off budget expenses he blasted Bush for.

Correct. These people do not fear that their jobs are in danger, so they continue to **** over our country. The lot of them.
