Respectful would have been to stand up. He didn't even need to clap.
I watched the ceremony. I do not recall anyone standing up.
Now I do recall they did not show each Head of State as their respective athletes marched into the stadium. Consequently, I have no idea if "standing up" was part of the show.
The use of Schumer could have been switched out with the likes of Pelosi or Waters - so why would you even think you had to defend yourself. Libs read entirely too much into everything - that's why so many of we middle Americans don't side with you.
I am pro-life. I support a balanced budget amendment. I fully believe in all of our rights acknowledged by the second amendment.
What makes me a liberal and why bring up Schumer to start with? (or Pelosi or Waters)
Have we not learned a thing about trying to take other leaders out yet? It has never worked. We should be as violent in stopping that.
I never said we should. I'm very non-interventionist, and it's a tricky situation there.
I also want to make sure people understand that this is almost indistinguishable from a hostage situation, and that North Korea's leaders are actually very evil, in the same way Stalin and Hitler were. I don't trust the military to do it correctly, but I think trying to rescue or protect innocent people there would be justified, just as you'd be justified in saving your neighbor if they were imprisoned by some murderer.

No it is not. It has NEVER worked. We have done it over and over (killing many innocent people in the process) and it has never worked. There is nothing tricky about it. Mind our own business.
