I wonder why feminists back the termination of the fully clothed grid girls in racing but women posing naked for a magazine is empowering. Only big mouthed feminists can wear skimpy clothes in slutwalks or pose naked and get paid big money without it being sexist. Actual models are just bimbos who deserve to get fired.
after looking at the picture of aly raisman, I don't see the controversy. she is technically nude but the photo shows no private parts.
posing nude would not be my choice to make any point to the press, but the nude-ish photo in si seems to have gotten aly the publicity she wanted to make her point. perhaps it was a good choice for her. I doubt her words would have caught the attention of the press otherwise. it is a shame women seem to have to get naked to get noticed.

Honestly, something about Raisman has always been so off-putting to me, even at the Rio Olympics. She strikes me as the publicity hound type to never let a good tragedy go to waste. I feel horribly about what happened to her, but she's clearly milking the attention for every last dime she can.
