It was something from a long ago post of yours, stored in my memory, that inspired me to search for some links and post four posts upthread.

Trump is more than just POTUS and nothing he does is wrong to his base.

He can break every law on immigration, yet is able to maintain himself as being strong on immigration.

Just strong against any immigrants he doesn't like or don't work for him personally.

But he doesn't take crap from anyone.

It's always about policy. Policy applies to those in charge too.

Default Breaking: Melania's Parents Likely Benefited From Chain Migration

There is little doubt this is how her parents got their Green Cards. OK for her family but not for others?? Why not??
https://www.washingtonpost.com/polit...mepage%2Fstory
Quote:
The parents of first lady Melania Trump have become legal permanent residents of the United States and are close to obtaining their citizenship, according to people familiar with their status, but their attorney declined to say how or when the couple gained their green cards.

Immigration experts said Viktor and Amalija Knavs very likely relied on a family reunification process that President Trump has derided as “chain migration” and proposed ending in such cases.

The Knavses, formerly of Slovenia, are living in the country on green cards, according to Michael Wildes, a New York-based immigration attorney who represents the first lady and her family.

“I can confirm that Mrs. Trump’s parents are both lawfully admitted to the United States as permanent residents,” he said. “The family, as they are not part of the administration, has asked that their privacy be respected so I will not comment further on this matter.”

Trump's in-laws are a clear example of chain migration.

Melania has never held that promised press conference that was going to prove that she was working here legally when she first came over. All current available evidence is that she was not.

If she was working here illegally, which it looks like she was, then she lied on her citizenship application.

Hauling over her family members is a perfect example of chain migration based on illegal immigration.

Trump is all against that.
