Most criminals aren't organized and we know where they live. We also know where their friends and relatives live....
If that were true, why do we have ongoing problems with gangbangers shooting and killing each other in Chicago, Baltimore, Camden, Compton, etc., at very high rates? "We know where they live." Just go arrest the convicted felons illegally possessing firearms. Stop the continuous massacre.

Stats are only as good as the raw data entered.
What were gun laws like in the 1800's, or abortion, for example? We live in a different world, and the left is emotionally driven, more so than the right.. Its a brain thing..
Correct, and that's a HUGE part of the problem: irrational emoting (left) vs logical critical thinking (right). The left is like the toddler throwing a tantrum in the store because he's not getting what he wants.

Same verse, same as the first...

Then why have any laws at all?

And companies that make these meds, huge lobbyists, have hard cold data that proves they can cause people to go into mania, one company had one in 25 patients go into mania.. Think about that.
But your brain is a body part as much as your heart is. BP medicine alters physiological functioning just as SSRIs do. Some people have depression and take meds for it, some have anxiety. What is your point?

There is quite a powerful gun lobby too. You do realize that?

Cold, hard stats:

More Guns, Less Crime - John R. Lott Jr.

HUGE compilation of statistical facts.

Yes, definitely. It would require new legislation.

Welcome to the Chicago Public Schools. Obama's City. Heavily Democrat, for decades. Very strict gun laws. The schools cannot even function without metal detectors at the entrance and armed guards in the halls.

Okay, I will play. Does BP medicine cause you to lose your damn mind? Nope.
Read on MKULTRA, pretty interesting what mind altering drugs can do to you. Blood Pressure meds were not used in that little experiment. One of its participants, Unabomber, turned out just fine, lol

There are numerous experts and studies that have disagreed with Lott's findings and even his methods.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1380922/

Abstract:

Quote:
A highly publicized recent study by Lott and Mustard concludes that laws easing restrictions on licenses for carrying concealed firearms in public substantially reduce violent crime. Several serious flaws in the study render the authors' conclusions insupportable. These flaws include misclassification of gun-carrying laws, endogeneity of predictor variables, omission of confounding variables, and failure to control for the cyclical nature of crime trends. Most of these problems should bias results toward overestimating the crime-reducing effects of laws making it easier to carry concealed firearms in public. Lott and Mustard's statistical models produce findings inconsistent with criminological theories and well-established facts about crime, and subsequent reanalysis of their data challenges their conclusions. Public health professionals should understand the methodological issues raised in this commentary, particularly when flawed research could influence the introduction of policies with potentially deleterious consequences.

I'm not playing.

Millions of people need and use these drugs to their benefit.

You use the Unabomber as an example.

I use my sister as an example.
