They weren't all AR-15s, actually. The AR-15 is made by Colt, but it has also become a catch-all name for "scary black rifle." However, the commonality here isn't what firearm was used. Unless I'm mistaken, every single one of them was being treated for some sort of mental illness and taking or withdrawing from some sort of SSRI medication. Perhaps you should be pointing at Big Pharma rather than firearms manufacturers.
Aurora - Criminal who should have been stopped long before he ever purchased a gun due to his insanity.
Las Vegas - Criminal
Sandy Hook - Criminal who should have been stopped long before he killed his mother and stole her gun, also due to his insanity - as well as a mother who refused to admit that there was anything wrong with the psychotic little demonspawn.
Texas Church - Criminal
San Bernardino - Criminal
Parkland, FL - Criminal who had so many red flags the police should have had a duty desk in his front yard.
Not a single one of these cases was because of the weapon used. Every single one was perpetrated by someone who used the available tool for the crime. Ban AR-15s and similar types of firearms, we'll be having the same conversation a month later with another firearm in its place. You aren't going to stop a single shooting by going after the weapon used.
Please post criminal violations prior to the shooting of your examples above.
Nonsense. Everything is a mass shooting now. We have redefined the term to make it DRAMATIC. Mass shooting REALLY only happens every few months. If one guy shoots his wife and kids it is NOT a mass shooting. I f a robber goes into a mall and shoots a couple of people during a robbery it is NOT a mass shooting. We need to stop with the silly Kimmeling of every situation.
Are you kidding me? You're quibbling over semantics? Jesus.
So we throw up our hands and say, "Oh, well. Some kids got to die."?
Basically yes. PEOPLE are going to die. The use of "kids" to make your argument is an example of what I have termed Kimmeling. Crocodile tears, overdone indignance, and an insane response to control what cannot be controlled. Because there is nothing anyone can do about the occasional mass murder. It's going to happen, because some people are certifiable.
Mass murder has always happened, and will always happen. Every now and again in American society.
The mistake is to obsess on the equipment used to commit the murder. That's silly.
Time to start arming your own kids and teaching them well how to defend themselves no matter where they may be. Evil is all around us. Time to keep evil honest.
Good Lord. Yeah, that's what we need. A school full of dead kids. No. What we need are people who will say enough is enough already. AR 15s and other assault weapons have no place in the public. Sorry 2nd Amendmenters. Don't even try to argue with me on that. I don't give a sh** about your "rights." Too many kids and others have died. And thanks to Trump people with mental illness have an easier time getting them. SMDH.

Yes, because in an effort to appeal to emotion, proponents of gun control HAVE REDEFINED MASS KILLING TO INCLUDE EVERYTHING. They are doing this on purpose, and it is a fake, phony, fraudulent attempt to push their agenda.
They basically want to obfuscate and manipulate by stating that mass killings are happening daily. Which is a transparent lie, since they are happening 5-10 times per year. And will continue to happen 5-10 times per year, whether or not guns even exist.
No, it is not. As gun ownership has increased by 50% in the US, the gun homicide rate has DECREASED by 50%, and the nonfatal violent gun crimes rate has DECREASED by 76%. I already posted the stats in this thread. Sources: Centers for Disease Control, the Congressional Research Service, and Pew Research.
Guns are NOT the problem. In fact, an increase in ownership has yielded a DECREASE in the violent crimes rates.
YES THEY ARE, first world countries with tighter gun controls have far, far, far less people shot to death every year (and its not even a close statistic) it doesn't matter how you try to 'discount' suicides or 'gang' violence (other countries have gangs and suicides too), it doesn't matter if you discount half the states or claim that an 'American' is somehow mentally 'different', there is NOTHING you can do to change those statistics when they are so clear, more guns = more people shot to death by guns, that is a very simple statistic. Trying to argue that guns aren't the problem is just making you and 'some' of your countrymen come across as stupid, now for gods sake wake up and do something about thousands of un-avoidable deaths (many of which are young people) we are talking about peoples lives here!

Again you are obsessing over murder methodology. How it's done doesn't really matter. Outlawing all guns will change the methodology, not the occurrence. And perhaps, there are some other methodologies that will be more effective in killing more people. So be careful for what you wish for.
Virginia Tech - a couple of glocks. And it was the deadliest shooting in recent history until Orlando and Vegas happened. The rhetoric from the left was the same "No individual should own a glock or semi-automatic pistol of any kind."
