This can't be. I was told that having well trained people with guns on campus would stop school shootings. Here was a well trained LEO that hid outside the building where shooting was happening, and we are supposed to believe that an armed teacher will do better than this trained professional.
Well since the teachers laid down their lives for their students its reasonable to assume if they were armed they might have been able to save other lives as well as their own.

By making a Hollywood shot in a smoke filled hall with kids running everywhere? Who is teaching those classes, 007?
Yeah, but Chicago, Detroit, Baltimore, and others have all been known to have smatterings of urban shootings here and there, but nothing that rises to the level of mass-shootings and killings.
It would appear then, that we all sbould have been more concerned when the victims were black and not white. Is that what you're saying?
A smattering of shootings? More people died in Chicago last year than in the last 4 mass shootings combined.
A lot of us have been concerned about the destruction of Chicago, Detroit, Baltimore, and St. Louis. The fact that liberal leadership is more interested in perceived safety than in real safety kind of negates our concern, though.
I wonder how many teacher could actually pull the trigger on one of their student though. Just a thought, but a split second hesitation could make all the difference. If they are suddenly face to face with a kid they had in their class, how would that impact their decision. And what would their own mental state be after killing a kid, and a kid they knew personally.
And as we talk he is collecting a pension for not doing it.
I'm still floored. I can't believe it. I wonder if there's anything he could be charged with. I suspect there are some civil lawyers popping out the breath mints.
it's almost like this is more complicated than simply adding to the supply of available guns at schools and even then nobody knows how they will react until they are in the moment. Maybe instead we could focus on figuring out ways to make it less easy for people with obvious mental health issues to have such easy access to assault weapons...I guess that's asking too much.
