I don't get what this has to do with anything else on this thread.
It's difficult to follow, because this is a merged thread, but I'm questioning the conventional wisdom of mental illness being the result of brain chemistry.
I'm asking if the brain chemistry differences in mentally ill people, is inherent, or the result of prolonged stress?
Wild animal populations show little evidence of intentional self harms, while it is more common in captive animals - are environmental causes or genes primarily behind that behaviour?
The same could apply to humans -is suicide just a result of the gene jackpot, or of environmental situations that could be better managed?
Left-wing, Right-wing, or Center....You must adhere to FOX news in order to know which side is which.
They quite often refer to the "Left" or the "Right". I don't observe other news media using these terms quite so often.
I guess they want their audience to know their definitions clearly, in order to specifically coral them into their "Right-winged" political arena.
It's the FOX news-Right-winged-GOP people we have to thank for this NRA infused debacle in the first place.
Expect absolutely no leadership from Trump, as he is certainly not a good leader and will be certain to support his elitist billionaire profiteering gun running friends.
Once again, Trump will not demonstrate support for the average American citizen.

Heck! On the right day, given the appropriate conditions, any one of us could lose it. However, we'd all be better off if we lost it without having access to a semi-automatic firearm.
Doesn’t matter. Without guns, a substitute methodology will develop favor. Some things cannot be stopped. Evil people will go off the deep end with a certain consistent frequency. We should simply execute them whenever they are found guilty of murder.
No fanfare. And no gun control. Just simple capital punishment for guilty parties.
In a nation of 300+ million people there will be periodic mass murders. It it unavoidable and there is nothing to be done about it other than execute any murderer who does not save us the trouble by killing himself. Gun control will never be the answer, even after the next mass shooting and the hundred after that. Eliminating guns will simply change the methodology. Like driving cars into crowds of people. So let’s stop concentrating on guns. Guns simply must always be a protected method for people to defend themselves.
We will never get rid of the phenomenon of the mass murder every so often. It is still exceedingly rare and always will be. But it will happen, always. In a nation of 300+ million people, someone will go off the deep end every few months. Nothing can be done about it.
Further gun controls will not solve anything.

Thats why America is divided, we divide and hate within ourselves over things we have no control over. You dislike someone because they voted for Trump, yet, you dont know me or anyone else. You judge.. So sad.
You cant control guns, but thats not what people really want. They want to control PEOPLE. All the left talks of is AR15. Its one of thousands of semi automatics out there. Its not even nearly the most powerful either.
But you want it banned, controlled.

Many people are for that. An eye for an eye. Once you execute, send family bill for the bullets, as China does.
So now they are going to tear the school bldg down. Seems like a waste. They could use it for a shelter for homeless, or a training center. The emotionally driven crowd need meds, really, so illogical to waste millions of dollars of infrastructure due to a shooting.
Should we tear Chicago down. No.
