Thnak you, President Trump!
So a daily commuter living in San Diego should have to pay for the lion's share of road construction/maintenance costs, state-wide, compared to some dude living on his homestead in the middle of nowhere who doesn't have to drive much?

In other words, the San Diego guy is paying for 90% of the cost to build and maintain roads both in his area, AND the area where the rural guy lives?

How is that right?

I've got a better idea... why don't we pay for the roads out of the general budget (like we've been doing), that way nobody has to feel like they are being nickel and dimed for everything that they use. Drive whenever and wherever you want. It's all paid for.

Nothing wrong with a 25 cent federal gas tax increase to fund transportation infrastructure.

Trump proposes .25cent fuel tax INCREASE

Whoa! Way to go Mr Republican!

Give a massive tax cut to the super-rich and stick a stiletto in every driver's back.

Never saw it coming ... Not in a million years ...

It’s a society. It takes a village.

As any good socialist would tell you.

And we have money from the tax cuts to cover the increase in travel costs.

Don't forget , doesn't this administration want to have states and local municipalities take on some of the burden of the infrastructure costs. They will have to have more money for that -- I am guessing they will also have to add a surcharge on fuel or raise our taxes.

All good though -- because we are taking more money to cover these extra costs.
