Given the world these "conservatives" envision all of us living in, a dire, hopeless dystopian future, why don't they just give everyone a gun to blow their brains out.
They may miss and then get their brains blown out.
Every kid should walk around clothed in bulletproof armor. And a bulletproof helmet. And every adult, too, for that matter. Everybody should also be armed with an AK-47. They should teach kids how to operate their AK-47 even before they learn to read and write. It would be an NRA dream!

Or how about these shields. Schools can build brackets for each desk to hold them. When the next shooter arrives the kids can grab the nearest one and hunker down behind a shield wall like the Spartans.
As explained by me in a previous post... all the schools my kids have gone to in the USA have implemented security measures. All the doors except the front door are always locked and you can't get in from outside...but you can get out.
The front doors are the only ones with access in and you are required to go in -- present your driver's license and get a badge to get in.
At my youngest's high school... There is also a barrier to get through. Once the morning rush to get to school is over -- each car has to check in with the gated barrier. You then are directed to the office to get approval.
Kids are given passes to get through the barriers for their parking lots. You can't get in to the lots without going thorough the security or having the pass.
As I said - -then the doors are all locked to get in except the front door. Truth is -- the kids will open the other doors for other kids. There are patrols around the school but they can't be everywhere all the time.
Even with all that -- people can wander on to campus if they really want.
Works good if it is one big building.
This campus in Parkland Fla. looks to have had multiple buildings with each building multiple entrances and exits.
That is a security nightmare, when minimal resources are available.
Establish each student is part of the schools militia and marksmanship team. Arm every student and teacher as the 2nd Amendment declares as the only solution to oppression.
Using Israel as an example pops up after every school shooting.
The only sites online that talk about this policy of guards at schools in Israel are conservative sites. EDIT -- I finally found information on the guard situation. It is mandated that a guard be provided in schools of 100 or more (we call them resource officers here in the USA and every high school and middle school -- public - -has them).....and they aren't mandated to be armed. That depends on the school not any legislation (here in the USA resource officers -- police officers -- can and are often armed). So it isn't that much different than our policy. Reports are there was an armed police officer on the campus in Florida.
When you google you find that since Sandy Hook conservative media sites pop up with Israel being a model for the USA.
The first wave of using Israel as an example, claimed teachers were armed. This was quickly proven to be inaccurate.
In fact Israel supports gun control and perhaps isn't the model you are looking for.
Israel’s successful gun ownership laws both serve to make sure upstanding, brave and mentally sound citizens have access to guns, and that those who present even a minor threat are prevented from possessing one. It would be a mistake to use Israel as the poster child for more weapons in the US, as our success here is much more connected to limiting weapons and enabling strategies such as gates, fences and armed guards (not armed teachers), to protect our children. My Solution applies to the school security only.. School Security...
Resource officers are a fixture in USA schools -- They are police officers -- they are called resource officers for some strange reason but that's what they are.

They had 2 at the HS in Parkland Fla. How did that false sense of security, work out for them?
