From the Boston Herald article the OP posted above :
"Trump's approach stood in sharp contrast to his predecessor's reaction to the shooting in Newtown, Connecticut, five years ago. After the Sandy Hook slayings, President Barack Obama quickly attended an emotional evening vigil in Newtown, where he read aloud the names of each victim and promised to use "whatever power" he had to prevent future shootings. In the wake of a mass shooting at a South Carolina church, Obama led thousands in singing "Amazing Grace."
This is what a President does after a national tragedy not board Air Force One and head to his Palm Beach estate for the weekend.
Ya, promise a false sense of security, that he has absolutely no power to do anything about. The Constitution outlines how to handle a declaration of war on your person.

What? Explain please. You got my curiousity piqued here.

You as a person, have the right to not only keep, but also bear your arms to protect your person. Government is forbidden to restrict that god given right. It is not a government given privilege, to be taken when they want.
The OP is being sarcastic with this statement right? Only "compassion" Trump has is for his own egotistical fat butt. I'd love to believe that he does care about the victims of this tragedy in Florida, but common sense tells you that is a distant dream - we know that everything that flows from his pie hole is either a lie or faux crocodile tears. It's just another political opportunity for him; he can put out some phony speech about how sad he is that it happened, but at the same time ignore the pleas from the devastated families in Florida that he supposedly represents to at least START A DIALOGUE about the gun laws in this country. He has no hesitancy to play to his base over the bloody bodies of these innocent kids, and that is truly sickening.

Uh-huh. Ooookay. So, please indulge me a bit more? Reference me in on god having conferred this right ... was it written on some tablets I missed?

Ok, yeah ... but tell us how you really feel without all the flowery stuff ...

Don't know about you but I will exercise my 1st until the fascist Right destroys it or I am taking the long dirt nap, whichever comes first. Looking at the direction Trump is heading, it may be the former.
