They are planning a huge nation wide protest in conjunction with a woman’s day walk out.
They are using my dead friend as leverage. Please believe me, Aaron was stridently right wing and would be the first to call this bs.
These people have money and influence. If you want a second amendment when Match rolls around please contact your representatives & donate to your civil rights organization of choice.
They want three defined things, no guns for under 25, “assault weapons ban, “high capacity ban”, and NRA abolished"
I know this is a left leaning forum, but protesting at a funeral is childish and low.
There is a lot of ignorance when it comes to weapons and gun laws, restrictions effectiveness etc.
Excellent. We're always being told by the NRA and the gun lovers that "it's not the time to talk about the ongoing slaughter," when really what they are saying is if they have their way, it will never be the time to talk about the ongoing slaughter. They want to make certain this discussion is never had, and thus far, they have been pretty successful at that.
But what could be a more perfect time than as we are watching yet more of our children needlessly buried because people need their semiautomatic toys?
We have waited and waited and waited for "the right time" to have this discussion. The waiting is over.
I think the high schoolers in Florida are awesome and I applaud their courage to step into an issue that the adults around them have turned their backs on for decades now. I have high hopes for this generation.

Very sad, but to bad the High Schoolers aren't addressing the true reason and that's "mental health", not gun control.
The true reason so many people are gunned down with semiautomatic weapons is the easy availability of semiautomatic weapons. That's the undeniable truth.
