Jimmy Carter was the last great hunting President. More Presidents should set an example and hunt so the public has a more measured view of guns.

Because they were city boys or turned into urban lawyers/politicians who were not raised hunting for food or recreation. The shotgun only came out to kill a bird during a campaign to pull from the edges of the 2nd Amendment first voters

Consolidation of individual family farms by agricultural corporations and posting the land to the public destroyed a lot of the opportunities people once had to hunt. That was the problem when LaPierre got hired to shill for the gun manufacturers. Their sales were dropping because of the decline in the number of hunters.

He was hired to promote personal carry and paramilitary rifles as sexy. Wayne LaPierre is the man most responsible for the problems we have with guns in America today.

Bill Clinton used to go duck or pheasant hunting. Both Bushes were hunters as well. Here's a list:

I know they don't count, but Donny's boys hunt. They just don't shoot stuff you can actually eat.
