Climate change - whether it's caused by man or a natural part of our planet's cycle, it's definitely happening. Look at all the crazy weather just this winter. Unusual snow and cold in Nor'Eastah's part of the country and severe drought here in the Southwest.
Am very concerned, especially since snow pack in the mountains is only a third of what it would normally be. The reservoir that supplies our irrigation water looks like a mud puddle. I live in ranching country and last year our agricultural yields were down significantly due to decreased precip. Meanwhile, the folks in the big cities like Denver and Phoenix are trying to figure out ways to steal our water so that they can grow lawns in the arid West and fill up their swimming pools.
I'd advise buying land in the northern tier of the country. It can't hurt. If all goes well, then you simply have made a good investment that will pay off for your retirement or your children's inheritance. Worst case, you've got a place where you can retreat to and live off the land.
That’s why I’m staying put here in the Rust Belt / Northeast. At least we have plenty of water. Most of the climate models have us getting more rain in the future, although mainly in the winter when it’s not usable for crops without reservoirs and irrigation systems.
It’ll be funny when all of the people that fled to the Sun Belt start moving back here.
I am no prophet, but my personal opinion is the globalist will eventually push for the final stage of their agenda for America : integration within a transnational political union modeled after the EU. Which will result in a loss of sovereignty though they will deny it.
While that machine is in motion, the EU being the current vanguard of the movement for what would ultimately be a global phenomen (and let us not forget the US federation which inspires it), I think the drive for balkanization (in countries and federations worldwide) will reach a head long before that. The constant rumbling for secession the world around is notable to put it mildly.
I do think that transnational unions will be a thing, but they will be confederations at the most unified, with treaty groups being the norm.
Look at the problems with Brexit. I think that looser rules will hold countries together to obviate the massive headache that devolvement brings.
I think president trump is doing a masterful job of being a speed bump or buying time.
In my head I am envisioning an action, war or zombie movie where at the end the group is all fighting valiantly but significantly out numbered, and then the one guy says you guys make a run for it I'll stay back and hold them as long as I can...
Trump is buying us time but I'm not sure for how long.
The media, left, globalists are all spewing relentless propoganda to get as many sheep as possible to hate the idea of a populist uprising against the political elites, to hate the idea of a strong soverign America and to hate the idea of being personally responsible and independent.
The globalist deep state was sooooo close to finishing the job. They had Obama as the set up man and their chosen closer of hilliary fortunately turned out to be the perfectly terrible candidate at the perfect time.
They even tried to rig everything they could for her and she still lost.

Clearly, both parties are owned by elites. For all practical purposes, we are a plutocracy, not a democracy or republic.
I don’t know what the solution is. Perhaps a General Strike? What happens if the elites use the military to “keep order?” Will it look like Tiananmen Square in 1989?
How to handle it? Withdraw from human race as much as possible into the 11,780 square miles of natl forest my place backs up to. Why get all hyped up over something you can do nothing about? Who gives a rat's patoot? Mother nature will balance this mess. She always does.

I think by 2030, the US will either be a fascist theocracy run by a state church (likely the Baptist Bible Fellowship) or a socialist democracy with government-run healthcare and a mandatory living wage. It's currently too early to tell which it will be but my bet is on a socialist democracy. It's also likely that some states will secede.

Ideas long overdue if you are a tyrannical collectivist, as opposed to a "regular" collectivist. For those who are not collectivists of any sort, it is an idea that may as well be proclaimed by satan (in fact, I believe it is within Christian doctrine)--that's how evil we find it.
You are free in this nation as it stands TODAY to be as socialist and collectivist as you like. Start a commune. Get all your friends and those who feel as you do together, incorporate, pool your resources, find a place to live your life communally, and I'd applaud you for living your dream. Appoint a commissar, worship your hive, and have fun. You are completely free to do that, as you should be.
But NO, you folks don't want to do that. It's not your goal, even though you say it is. For some reason, you want to drag everyone with you into what some of us look at as hell on earth. Why is that? Why do you insist on having everyone riding on your bus? It makes absolutely NO logical sense to want to curtail the freedom of others when your goal is to simply live communally, which you ARE FREE TO DO IN THIS NATION RIGHT NOW.
However, if viewed in another context, your seemingly illogical behavior makes complete logical sense. When viewed from the perspective that it's not so much communal living you are after but to CONTROL the lives of others, there is no logical disconnect at all. You are simply playing out another flavor of tyranny because that is what tyrannists have done since the beginning of civilization. Only the excuse for implementing it changes. It's all about control and it always has been. And those who have been fighting against your domination since the beginning of time will continue to fight against it. Not everyone wants to be dominated and not everyone is bamboozled by your "opiates of the masses"--empty promises, insignificant liberties, supposed "safety nets" and mind-numbing gadgetry)--with which you so slyly mask your true intentions. Or at least you think you do. But some of us see through you.
